Exponential-e selects Zerto for cloud disaster recovery

Cloud and networking provider Exponential-e has partnered with software platform Zerto to enhance its disaster recovery offering.

The agreement will see Exponential-e use the Zerto Virtual Replication (ZVR) to deliver disaster recovery services in real-time, via the cloud, without having to re-architect their entire operations in the instance of a local network failure.

Lee Wade, CEO at Exponential-e, said that according to the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), 70% of businesses that lose data from a disaster will close within 18 months and 90% will closes within two years.

“These figures highlight that any outage in IT operations has a real impact in the performance of a company, often resulting in financial loss, reduced productivity and long-term damage to its reputation,” Wade said.

“To ensure that disruption is minimised and that IT estates can be quickly restored, we are seeing more demand from organisations to protect their critical data by changing the way that disaster recovery is delivered using virtualised, Cloud-based infrastructures.”

Traditionally, disaster recovery tools have fundamentally changed system infrastructures, making it hard to restore information.

The ZVR includes hypervisor-based replication technology to replicate machines, servers and storage in its virtual cloud data centre.

"Exponential-e's network capabilities further enhance our product and together we offer a unique disaster recovery solution" said Sean Casey, director of Cloud sales at Zerto.

“The steadily increasing membership of the Zerto Cloud Service Provider Ecosystem (ZCE) confirms that service providers are eager to offer disaster recovery services that seamlessly align with Cloud environments and meet the rigorous standards that customers expect.”
