Alex Sinaga has been appointed chief executive at PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom).

Sinaga replaces Arief Yahya who left the company in October to become Indonesia’s tourism minister.

Last month, the company announced plans to monetise 4,000 of its 17,000 telecoms towers.
