Tigo Ghana appoints mobile head

Tigo Ghana has appointed Tara Squire as head of the company’s mobile unit.

Squire’s role was effective from November 27 2014, and he is now responsible for commercial and mobile financial services (MFS) strategy and execution.

“We are pleased to have Tara on board,” said Roshi Motman, CEO at Tigo Ghana. “His experience in product development and innovation will be invaluable to Tigo as we take giant steps to become the digital lifestyle brand of choice for Ghanaians."  

Squire left his position as chief commercial officer at Blu Telecommunications for the role, where he led the development of the brand, as well as the marketing and sales teams. 

Squire has also held positions at Vodafone Ghana, Unilever, British American Tobacco, Standard Chartered Bank and Zain.
