PGASCOM upgrades Indonesia-Singapore link
21 November 2014 |
Indonesian operator PGASCOM has upgraded capacity on its subsea cable between Jakarta and Singapore, using Coriant’s optical transport platform.
Coriant’s hiT 7300 Multi-Haul Transport Platform is said to have improved optical performance on the long-haul link and reduced equipment at cable landing sites.
"For this critical expansion project we were looking for a DWDM platform with superior performance, as well as an experienced support team with proven optical transport expertise – and Coriant has delivered both,” said Jamalum Simamora, network operations GM at PGASCOM.
“The Coriant solution will not only enable us to efficiently increase service capacity and expand our network without disrupting existing traffic, but also help extend the lifespan of our submarine network and seamlessly scale to meet future demands.”
