OVH selects Nuage Networks SDN solution for cloud services

Web hosting firm OVH has selected Nuage Networks’ SDN-based virtualised services platform (VSP) in order to deliver dedicated cloud services to its customers.

The OVH Group has infrastructure worldwide, with over 15 subsidiaries and 17 data centres, and expects Nuage’s VSP to deliver an open-stack-as-a-service offering to enable their customers to access dedicated cloud computing infrastructure.

“We are pleased to implement Nuage Networks with OpenStack in our cloud infrastructure,” said Octave Klaba, CEO and founder at OVH. “The Nuage Networks SDN technology allows us to offer our customers cloud services in a more dynamic way, giving them the capability to reduce their time-to-market with a programmable and automated networking environment.”

Nuage Networks’ SDN solution provides network virtualisation and automation that are designed to turn OVH’s cloud data centres into flexible environments that can instantly establish the network services required for a given application.

Sunil Khandekar, CEO at Nuage Networks – an Alcatel-Lucent subsidiary – said: “We are excited to work with OVH in support of their dedicated cloud initiative which will allow them to deliver attractive and innovative cloud services to their European and international customers, while making their infrastructure more agile, responsive and cost-effective.”
