Vodafone has launched HD voice across the UK.

The service is available to Vodafone customers with compatible phones, delivering better and clearer conversations.

Customers automatically switch to HD technology when in range, with 4G customers also able to access the service through 3G networks.

“Our HD Voice brings our best call quality to our customers. It is another important step towards our commitment to deliver our strongest-ever network to the UK,” said Fergal Kelly, technology director, Vodafone UK.

The move forms part of Vodafone’s £1 billion investment on its network and services across the country this year.

Over the last few months, Vodafone has expanded its 4G coverage to more than 313 locations, as it aims to meet its target of providing 2G, 3G or 4G coverage to 98% of the UK population.
