2degrees expands 4G to Wellington

New Zealand’s 2degrees has expanded its 4G LTE network to Wellington in the country’s North Island.
The operator launched 4G services in June 2014, and has also expanded its offering to more areas of the country’s capital, Auckland.
2degrees’ 4G service allows for high-speed mobile connectivity as well as the capacity to download and access large files much quicker than on the existing 3G network.
Rival operators Vodafone and Spark launched their 4G services late last year, and 2degrees is now playing catch-up with further launches expected in Christchurch at the end of the month and Hamilton in October 2014.
