TransIndonesia Network selects Coriant for network expansion

Wholesale bandwidth provider TransIndonesia Network has partnered with solutions provider Coriant to extend and upgrade sections of its network in Indonesia.

TransIndonesia Network will use Coriant’s 7090 packet transport platform to extend its multiservice capabilities, as well as support efficient and scalable Ethernet aggregation in the access management section of its network.

“Delivering scalable and reliable bandwidth services on an end-to-end basis enables us to offer our customers greater capabilities as their bandwidth needs continue to grow,” said Andy McLean, CEO at TransIndonesia Network.

“As a trusted supplier with a highly competitive solution offering, Coriant made metro edge-to-optical core service provisioning possible, while at the same time, helping us to improve utilisation of our transport network resources with improved visibility and control,” he added.

Coriant’s solution will also serve as an extension to TransIndonesia Network’s high-capacity DWDM infrastructure network based on Coriant’s optical transport platform.

“Innovation at the edge of the network can create differentiation and expand the breadth of services a wholesale provider can offer its business customers,” said Uwe Fischer, CTO at Coriant. “By tightly coupling service innovation at the edge with a high-performance optical core network using integrated, software-defined intelligence, service providers can significantly multiply the value of their transport infrastructure.”

In February, TransIndonesia partnered with Epsilon for the launch of a virtual PoP in Singapore.
