MTN selects CSG for managed services
03 June 2014 |
South Africa’s MTN Group has today announced a long-term managed services partnership with CSG International.
The multiyear partnership will see CSG deliver a range of managed services to MTN South Africa, with the move designed to enable the operator to simplify and streamline its operations, and place a greater focus on its core business.
CSG will provide end-to-end management of the MTN wholesale billing and business services platform, comprising a variety of solutions.
“CSG has proven breadth and depth of domain knowledge to handle our entire suite of wholesale billing and operational capabilities,” said Neil Tomkinson, CIO at MTN South Africa.
“Their management of our billing stack will allow us to remain competitive and serve our customers better by enabling us to bring new products to market faster, to invest in innovative new service offerings, and to reinvest the cost savings from the managed services engagement back into strategic business solutions,” he added.
CSG will also manage a large number of subcontractors on MTN’s behalf, as well as assume accountability for the entire wholesale product and services domain.
“We appreciate the opportunity to expand the scope of services we currently provide to MTN South Africa to include overall responsibility for the management of MTN business services applications and operations,” said Alam Gill, SVP of international managed services at CSG.
In March this year, satellite provider Inmarsat deployed CSG’s billing solution.
