Vodafone and SFR renew global alliance

The UK’s Vodafone Group and French operator SFR have today announced the renewal of their strategic global alliance for another four years.

The agreement will see both companies continue to provide fixed and mobile telecoms services to multinational customers in France, as well as roaming services for customers travelling in the country and abroad.

The two companies have shared a strong collaboration since 2002, and Vodafone said today’s renewal reaffirms SFR as a strategic partner in France.

Vodafone said that its Global Enterprise team will work with the SFR business team to grow additional business opportunities in areas such as M2M, 3G/4G roaming and unified communications – not only in France, but worldwide.

Vodafone will continue to offer its Vodafone Global Enterprise services to SFR, and SFR will also have access to Vodafone’s mobile and fixed networks, covering approximately 30 countries across the globe.

In February this year, Vodafone announced plans to launch 4G roaming services in 18 countries worldwide, as part of its £7 billion investment strategy.
