Telekom Austria appoints CMO for Macedonian subsidiary

Telekom Austria has appointed Gernot Rasch as CMO of its Macedonian subsidiary, Vip operator.
Rasch leaves his position as head of marketing at Telekom Austria’s Croatian subsidiary Vipnet for the role, held since 2011 by Florian Niedersüss.
Having joined the Telekom Austria Group in 2004, Rasch has held a number of marketing roles in various subsidiaries across the company.
Rasch oversaw Vipnet’s transformation from a mobile-only provider into a fully convergent operator and his established experience in the market is expected to help drive Vip operator’s performance.
“I am looking forward to my new tasks in Macedonia,” Rasch said. “Vip operator’s success story is unparalleled, and with my new team we will continue to devote concerted efforts to the ongoing success of the company and to face up to the challenges lying ahead.”
Rasch will take over his role in Skopje, Macedonia, on April 1 2014.
Capacity Balkans 2014 takes place in Bucharest, Romania on April 7-8.
