AIRCOM acquired by TEOCO

Telecoms solution provider TEOCO has today completed its acquisition of AIRCOM International.

TEOCO delivers assurance, analytics and optimisation solutions to CSPs, and combining its operations with AIRCOM creates a company with more than 300 CSP customers in over 100 countries.

TEOCO plans to use the acquisition to leverage its position in the RAN, service assurance, cost management and financial analytics markets, as well as increase its international footprint.

Mark H Mortensen, principal analyst at Analysys Mason, said that the acquisition now places TEOCO first in the network planning and optimisation market.

“The renewed TEOCO will be able to offer the kind of large-footprint solution for assurance and network planning and optimisation that CSPs increasingly desire,” Mortensen said.

“Additionally, combined with their strength in customer analytics and geolocation capabilities, TEOCO is well positioned to meaningfully address the emerging SON and CEM initiatives of the future."

Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.

In November this year, AIRCOM’s Gavin Hayhurst spoke exclusively to Capacity about the increasing importance of network planning and optimisation.
