According to local Japanese reports, SoftBank is in the final stages to make a majority stake acquisition in Brightstar in a deal valued at $1 billion.
“We are in discussions on this matter, but at this time we have not made any decision,” SoftBank said in a statement.
SoftBank confirmed yesterday it had struck a deal to acquire a 51% stake in Finnish games company Supercell.
