Lithuania announces LTE tender results

Lithuanian telecoms regulator RRT has announced the results of a tender for the delivery of LTE services in the country, according to local reports.

Tele2 Lithuania and mobile operators Bite Lithuania and Omnitel are said to have won bids for use of the 791-821MHz and 832-862MHz bands which can be used until July 1 2030.

Bite Lithuania was awarded the 791-801MHz and 832-842 MHz bands; Omnitel was awarded the 801-806 MHz, 842-847 MHz, 806-811 MHz and 847-852 MHNz bands and Tele2 Lithuania won a bid for services on the 811-816 MHz, 852-857 MHz, 816-821 MHz and 857-862MHz bands.

Bite Lithuania has also reportedly agreed to expand mobile broadband services to rural locations.
