EdgeCast partners with Vodien

EdgeCast Networks has partnered with Singapore-based cloud provider Vodien to improve its content services delivery platform.
The partnership is designed to enable Vodien CDN customers to experience the benefits of EdgeCast’s site acceleration services, and it will dramatically increase its content speeds to end users across the world.
EdgeCast claims – with its vast PoP footprint in major metros across the world – that it will enable Vodien customers to serve web content directly from servers that are closest to the end user, which in turn will reduce latency and improve end-user experience.
“We firmly believe in providing quality web-hosting service, as we care about our clients. The direction of current industry trends has indicated this market gap, which is why we have partnered with EdgeCast,” said Bill Poh, founder of Vodien.
A recent survey conducted by Consumer Statistics indicates that almost 2.5 billion people globally are using the internet for e-commerce, with half of those users located in Asia.
