GTS enhances data centre security through accreditation

GTS has been awarded an information security management system (ISMS) standard for its data centres across the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region.

The ISO 27001 certification means all 14 of the company’s data centres are complaint to ISMS policies and procedures, which are designed to assess and identify an organisation’s information security risks.

The move reflects a growing focus from the industry on security with the company’s CTO Ignacio Irurita stating that the accreditation verifies its “determination to provide reliable, secure and best-in-class cloud and data centre services to businesses across throughout the CEE region”.

“We understand the importance of providing robust information security measures to protect and preserve the integrity of our customers’ sensitive information,” he added.

Earlier last month, GTS also partnered with Ciena to upgrade its CEE network to 100G.
