MLB Advanced Media partners with Level 3 Communications

Level 3 Communications has announced it is expanding its relationship with live video streaming company MLB Advanced Media (MLBAM).
The web-based streaming firm, which hosts the Major League Baseball, will now use Level 3's data centre services to support its archival, backhaul and streaming requirements.
MLBAM will be connected to Level 3's data centre in Omaha, Nebraska, using its infrastructure services to optimise its media library.
Level 3 is known for providing live, interactive sports content and is proud to continue its long-standing relationship with MLBAM said Paul Savill, senior vice president of core product management at Level 3.
Level 3's expansive network paired with its colocation, CDN and HSIP services provides MLBAM with a comprehensive solution that delivers the reach, reliability and quality viewers of its content have come to expect.
