UK wholesale provider Metaswitch Networks and TVCABO have partnered to launch triple-play services in Angola.
Angolan TV, internet and voice firm, TVCABO, will deploy a range of cloud-based Metaswitch products to help offer its residential and business customers what is said to be the country’s first triple-play service.
“TVCABO is taking the lead in Angola’s innovation race, and it is great that we are a part of this,” said Khaled Zeidan, vice president for Turkey, Middle East and Africa sales, Metaswitch.
Moving towards a more software-based future is seen as a priority for TVCABO. Its director general, Francisco Ferreira, said: “We are introducing a triple play solution, available on both SIP and analog telephones, to accommodate our customers’ requirements. Additionally, we will be integrating Metaswitch’s interactive dashboard, CommPortal Web, to enable our pre-paid subscribers to manage their own services and information remotely.”
