JT and Dimension Data strike cloud partnership

Jersey and Guernsey-based JT Group has partnered with global services provider Dimension Data for the delivery of innovative cloud services.

The agreement, announced at the Annual Cloud World Forum in London this week, is designed to provide customers with secure and reliable infrastructure solutions, removing the need for them to build their own platforms in data centres.

“JT fully understand the need to store critical data that is both highly secure and accessible for wealth management firms, however we want to offer our existing customers the same service levels on a global scale for non-regulated data,” said Paul Taylor, Managing Director for JT’s Global Enterprise Business Unit.

“Dimension Data’s platform will deliver this requirement building on our secure Data Centre services making us more relevant both locally and in a global context.”

Dimension Data’s Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platform is designed to allow JT to provide enhanced cloud-based services including video conferencing, virtual desktops and storage on demand.

“We believe our cloud solutions will serve well the finance, legal and services businesses in the Channel Islands and also serve the businesses looking for a UK-based alternative to hosting data in London,” said Calvin Goom managing director at Dimension Data, UK.

One year ago, Dimension Data launched its global cloud partner programme.
