Beeline selects LTE suppliers

Russia’s Beeline has completed a tender on LTE equipment supplies for the deployment of an LTE network in six regions across the country, according to local reports.

A subsidiary of Russian mobile operator, Vimpelcom, Beeline will reportedly partner with equipment vendor, Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN), for the deployment in Altay, Adygeya, Astrakhan and Kalmykia.

In the Kaliningrad region, ZTE will supply the equipment; Huawei is the expected tender for the deployment in Ingusetia, and in central Russia, Ericsson will be the official supplier.

In April this year, Vimpelcom reportedly sold its 90% indirect stake in Beeline to domestic businessman Huot Vanthan.
