Telecom Italia values fixed-line network
23 May 2013 | Kavit Majithia
Telecom Italia has reportedly valued its fixed-line network at €13-€15 billion, according to a source close to the company.
The Italian operator’s fixed-line network has been subject to speculation of a spin-off, and its board will meet this week to decide on the matter.
A spin-off project would see the company inject its fixed-line access network assets and move a portion of its debt into the newly created company.
The move could take approximately 18 months to complete, according to Reuters.
