TTK extends FTTB network

TTK Western Siberia, subsidiary of Russian fibre network operator TTK, has expanded its fibre-to-the-building (FTTB) coverage to reach an additional 3,000 households.

The expansion is expected to increase broadband access to the internet for users in Kuibyshev in the Novosibirsk region of Russia.

“In Western Siberia the total number of cities covered by the communication network TTK is close to 30,” said Alexander Soloviev, general director at TTK Western Siberia. “We plan to continue active development of broadband access network in the region.”

Following the expansion, technical broadband network coverage in Kuibyshev is now said to include 3,500 households.

TTK’s expansion further highlights its strategy to enhance broadband connectivity across Russia, following its acquisition of regional operator Elektro-com in February this year.
