AT&T globalises cloud services

AT&T has extended its cloud-based, UC (Unified Communications) services portfolio to be made available in the US and a further 48 countries worldwide.

The company has identified that due to the ease at which technology allows business communities across the globe to connect, a solution is needed to enable businesses to adopt and adjust to these flexible working environments.

According to recent research from INSEAD, a graduate business school which collaborated with AT&T, global investment in technologies such as Unified Communications, as well as mobility and cloud-based services, will continue to accelerate over the next two years.

“Our research demonstrates that emerging innovations, including improved business collaboration tools, promise to boost business growth and employee productivity,” said Nils Fonstad, associate director of INSEAD eLab.

“When firms have strong key business enablers, investing in a comprehensive Unified Communications platform is an excellent example of how standardising processes as well as adding functionality can double the probability of becoming highly competitive.”

Chris Hill, SVP of advanced business solutions at AT&T, said that they way people live, work and communicate is changing at a rapid pace, and claims that AT&T’s cloud-based services allow business users to increase productivity, bring widely spread teams together and work more fluidly across their organisations.

“AT&T UC services are 21st century tools that allow companies to simplify and transform how they communicate across their business,” he added.
