Tata expands managed services offerings

Tata Communications has expanded its managed services portfolio by launching new solutions designed to help MNOs consolidate and streamline their roaming operations.

The company has also launched a security solution designed to protect operators and consumers from mobile spam.

MNOs are looking for ways to increase revenue and ensure network security as they continue to migrate to 4G.

Tata believes its new services can help with the transition to 4G by simplifying interconnections and ensuring a smoother end-to-end service delivery.

"Mobile broadband presents unique opportunities for mobile operators to rethink their business and service delivery models in order to address the challenges of data growth and fierce competition", said Tim Sherwood, vice president of mobile segment strategy at Tata Communications.

"What we bring to the market is a comprehensive, yet modular, managed services framework which efficiently empowers mobile operators to generate revenue from new services, capabilities and business models – many of which are supporting evolving customer demands."
