COO and CFO of Inteliquent resign

Inteliquent, the combined brand of Neutral Tandem and Tinet, has announced that the company’s president and COO, Surendra Saboo, and CFO, Robert Junkroski, are stepping down, effective October 1.

No indication was given as to the reason for their departure.

Inteliquent said that its board of directors is identifying a successor to replace Junkroski as CFO but is not planning to hire a successor to fill Saboo’s position as president and COO.

"On behalf of the company and its board of directors, I would like to sincerely thank both Surendra and Rob for their many outstanding contributions to Inteliquent," said Jim Hynes, founder and chairman of Inteliquent.

"We have been fortunate to have their guidance and direction at the core of our organisation for many years. Going forward, we remain committed to building on the foundation laid by Surendra and Rob by continuing our efforts to invest in developing and diversifying our product and service offerings on the path to long-term growth and value creation."

Both Saboo and Junkroski are expected to remain at the company until November 2012 to assist with the transition of their responsibility.

"It has been a privilege to work for Inteliquent alongside such a talented team," said Saboo. "I would like to thank all of our employees who have worked hard to transform Inteliquent from a US voice interconnection company into a global IP-based network service company."

Junkroski said: "I have had the pleasure of working for this company since its inception in 2003. Along the way, we have developed a number of innovative solutions to solve complex problems across our industry. Like Surendra, I want to thank all of our employees for their tremendous efforts over the years."
