Tata partners with Cargotec for WAN solutions

Global operator Tata Communications has been chosen by Cargotec to deliver Wide Area Network (WAN) connectivity to 150 of the company’s sites.

Cargotec, a leading provider of cargo handling solutions for ships, ports, terminals and local distribution, will be connected through a fully managed end-to-end MPLS network.

Cargotec has operations in over 50 countries globally, and the partnership with Tata is designed to provide increased capacity, speed, resiliency and enhanced communications capabilities.

Through Tata’s global network, Cargotec now has one specific supplier for its global WAN connectivity, delivering solutions to the company’s main offices and smaller sites, regardless of location.

“The extent of a company’s global reach and operational efficiency, especially in emerging markets, is largely dependent on the connectivity available to them in those regions,” said James Walker, VP managed network services at Tata. “With investments in infrastructure around the globe bringing us closer than ever to a truly connected world, companies should expect the same level of service and connectivity the world over.”
