Trading solutions provider ULLINK has been selected by the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) to host and manage a financial services network.

ULLINK operates the UL NET solution, which serves as a managed routing network, connecting the global financial community in real time. The Egyptian Exchange has selected the solution as a way to spread new and innovative technology across the region.

Mohamed Omran, chairman of EGX, said the initiative was the first of its kind by an exchange in the region to promote a link between international and financial players. “The goal is to spread the technology and allow the different exchanges to interface together and to promote cross-border training,” he said. “We have chosen ULLINK for its reliable and proven connectivity solutions.”

ULLINK CEO, Laurent Useldinger, felt the deal outlined his company’s growing reputation in the market to provide global exchange solutions: “ULLINK has earned the trust of exchanges globally to provide not only the FIX connectivity layer, but also pre-trade risk and other trading solutions, to help bring on board both local and international clients more efficiently."
