Yota and Rostelecom partner for LTE network

Russian internet service provider Yota and Russian telco Rostelecom have partnered to roll out an LTE network in the country.
Under the agreement, Yota will grant Rostelecom access to its LTE network and provide services as an MVNO. In exchange Yota will be granted use of Rostelecom’s network infrastructure for data transmission.
It is claimed that the agreement will contribute to the acceleration of universal 4G network distribution in Russia. By sharing infrastructure the companies are expecting to reduce operating costs and provide services to customers significantly faster.
