Brazil’s total market revenue is expected to reach $88.6 billion over the next four years according to analyst firm, Pyramid Research.

The Brazilian market is the largest in the region and still has a wealth of potential for operators given the country’s size. At the end of 2010, Brazil’s telecoms market was worth $67.6 billion with a predicted growth of 5.6% over the forecasted period. The report predicts growth with increased adoption of data services and new technologies covering a greater percentage of the population.

The mobile sector is predicted to grow due to an increase of 28% to mobile penetration by 2015. Fixed broadband has only reached 7.5% household penetration and is predicted to grow to 43.7% over the next four years due to the country’s Broadband National Plan.
