John Stephens, AT&T

John Stephens has been appointed as CFO of AT&T.







Stephens, who has been with AT&T for 19 years, previously worked as controller for the company where he was responsible for financial reporting and operations, business planning and accounting policy. Prior to that Stephens served as VP of taxes where he managed all corporate tax matters for the company. Stephens will replace Rick Lindner who served as CFO since 2004 and was previously CFO for Cingular Wireless, the wireless company consisting of SBC and BellSouth. During his time with AT&T, Rick helped to position the company as one of the most financially strong businesses in the industry.
