Martin-Cocher (pictured) is the Montréal-based senior director of multimedia coding at InterDigital, which develops mobile and video technologies.

The group addresses a range of issues for the ITU, a United Nations agency, including service provision, economic and policy implications, future networks and cloud, content delivery platforms, broadband cable and TV and the internet of things (IoT).
Martin-Cocher trained in Paris at the Ecole nationale supérieure Louis-Lumière, the leading French university for audio-visual arts and sciences. In 2007 she moved to BlackBerry in Canada, where she led a security and application team composed of PhD experts in security and signal processing.
The Geneva-based Telecommunication Standardization Advisory Group is chaired by Abdurahman Al Hassan, a Saudi specialist in cyber security, smart cities and IoT.
