Zayo expands fibre network across three US regions

Zayo has announced the investment and expansion of its network infrastructure in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Arizona’s Maricopa and Pinal Counties, and the Denver area.

For its Dallas-Fort Worth expansion Zayo is building more than 170 miles of new fibre between Amarillo, Texas, and Oklaunion, Texas, a project that is due to complete by the end of September 2022.

“Dallas is a long-time leader in the data centre space and specializes in serving the influx of tech enterprises to the area,” said Dennis Kyle, senior vice president of product marketing at Zayo.

“We are committed to continued investment in Texas to support customers’ demand for diverse, high-capacity fibre connectivity to enable their growth and ability to innovate. Zayo’s unmatched network combined with the Shielded Internet Access package provides customers in the market with the bandwidth that takes them anywhere they need to be in the most convenient, cost-effective way possible.”

The network expansion in Arizona includes roughly 100 route miles in the West Valley, including Goodyear, Avondale, El Mirage and other surrounding communities. Additionally, Zayo is building 200 route miles of fibre in Pinal County and is due for completion by the end of 2021.

Lastly the company has pledged to build more than 170 miles of new fibre to add diversity to a key route between Denver and Dallas and is anticipated by the end of September 2022.

At the same time Zayo is will also roll out a new product to existing and new customers across all three locations. The new offer, called Shielded Internet Access, includes such services as Dedicated Internet Access, DDoS Protection and CloudLink.
