Adaire Fox-Martin has been appointed EMEA cloud president at Google Cloud.

Dublin-based Fox-Martin most recently served as executive board member and president of global sales, services, and customer engagement at SAP. She also serves on the board of directors of Equinix and, prior to SAP, held various leadership roles at Oracle.

As a leader who is passionate about social issues, Fox-Martin founded the SAP One Billion Lives Ventures, an intrapreneurship scheme to improve the lives of one billion people around the world through the creation of sustainable business ventures that have social mission at the core of their operations.

Supporting this, SAP and Social Enterprise UK created a dedicated online content channel to drive awareness of the cause and bring social entrepreneurs and corporate leaders closer together to accelerate the movement.

Fox-Martin has been named in Fortune Magazine’s Top 50 Most Powerful Women International list for the last four consecutive years.

In a LinkedIn post announcing her new role, she wrote: “I am excited to announce that I’ve joined the incredible team at Google as EMEA Cloud president. It’s an honour to work with such an innovative company, supporting so many customers and partners through major digital transformations.”

In her new role, Google said she will "accelerate Google Cloud’s outstanding growth journey across Europe".

Google Cloud recently announced major partnerships on the continent with Deutsche Bank, Lloyds Banking Group, LVMH, Nokia, Orange, Renault and SEB, among others.
