In this episode of the Digital Digest, we roundup the biggest stories of the week from Etisalat and Ericsson's commercial mmWave 5G deployment to why 1 July will be a big day in ICT.

Natalie covers the news that BT faced the Competition Appeals Tribunal (CAT) over a lawsuit alleging it overcharged customers and American Tower Corporation (ATC) Europe has a new shareholder.

Also in telecoms, Etisalat and Ericsson have plans to commercially deploy mmWave 5G and Windstream Wholesale has launched ICON, its intelligent converged optical network.

On the vendor front, Alan hears from Nokia's Tommi Uitto on 5G faux pas and product launches and talks about the two court appeals that Huawei lost over the week. He also covers the news that Vodafone will be 100% powered from renewable sources by 1 July, the same day OneWeb will launch the last 36 satellites it needs to begin commercial services.

In data centres, Natalie brings the latest on MainOne's Accra facility; Dialog Axiata's Sri Lanka facility; and GTR's record breaking UK project while in China, BDx has opened the first phase of a new campus.

Joining this week's conversation, we welcome MEF's VP strategic programs, Daniel Bar-Lev; Divesh Gupta, VP of technology and sales operations at PCCW Global; and Michael Kearns, co-founder and chief strategy officer, Amartus. The three talk about their proof of concept for partner interop and onboarding.
