Sipartech raises €180m for European network expansion

Sipartech, a provider of fibre optic infrastructure for businesses, has been awarded a €180 million syndicated loan with Natixis.

With this latest financing, Sipartech will invest heavily in the construction of new long-distance fibre optic infrastructures across France and Europe, over the next three years, accelerating its international expansion and increasing its coverage of metropolitan areas.

In addition, with new cable deployments, Sipartech will be able to meet the growing needs of its customers for dedicated and diversified infrastructures across the region. Sipartech’s customer-based is comprised of global tech giants and delivers for them the extention, securing, and availability of their digital activities in all territories.

The growth plan will start with the first phase construction of 1,400km of additional networks, due to go live by the end of 2021. These will be located in new regions of France: the Atlantic coast and the ProvenceAlpes-Côte d'Azur region. In total Sipartech has a network of 25,000km in Europe, including 13,000km in France.

At the same time, the company will also increase its recruitment, with a doubling of the workforce by 2022.
