CTS, a European builder and designer of data centres, confirms the launch of CTS Nordics.

This latest unit in the region underscores the Group’s desire and commitment to expand its business throughout business the Nordics. CTS has already completed over US$100 million worth of data centre projects in the region and is positioning to become an even bigger market delivering operators, hyperscalers, REIT, colo or cloud, with state-of-the-art multi-MW facilities on turn-key, design and build basis.

Leading this new unit, Paul Wardell, founder and owner of CTS Group, together with David Caddy, UK and EU director as well as Filip Schelfhout, Nordics director, have combined their decades of experience to reinforce CTS’ operations across the Nordic region.

According to the company, the aim of CTS Nordics is to provide a one-stop-shop whereby every part of the Data Centre realization process, including concept and permits through to IST and handover, is undertaken in-house, enhanced by CTS’ years of industry experience.

“Our new offices in the centre of Oslo will serve as the main hub for the Nordics business with satellite offices in Stockholm, Helsinki and Copenhagen,” said CEO Paul Wardell.

“Employing local people simplifies operations. Gone are the days when flying people in and out of a project were done without a second thought. Covid-19 and Quarantine have absolutely driven us to develop local points-of-presence and I am not even going to mention Brexit, currency fluctuations, force majeure and a whole host of other obstacles faced by today’s contractors.”

In addition, CTS has fostered strong local connections with suppliers and specialists to ensure direct control of the entire supply chain, from design through to commissioning. Such meticulous supply chain control will allow CTS Nordics to ‘provide for clients’ needs with efficient results whilst delivering some of the most competitive pricing on the market today’.
