Colt Technology Services has appointed Gervaise Van Hille to run its operations in France, implementing the company’s new three-year strategy.

Van Hille (pictured) has worked at Colt for 20 years, most recently as regional sales director for capital markets in Europe and the UK.

“We have built an important network. Perfectly flexible and optimised for the cloud, it allows connectivity to and from three metropolitan networks in Paris, Lyon and Marseille,” she said.

“To this network, we are connecting more than 6,410 company buildings and 103 data centres in France.”

Having started out as a chemical engineer, Van Hille went into the IT industry, working for Bull and then IBM as a pre-sales engineer, before joining Colt in Paris in 2001.

She is passionate about topics such as inclusion and diversity, said Colt, and also about sustainable development.

“I believe Colt is in an ideal position to thrive in this time of significant transformation, thanks to our continued focus on our customers and partners,” she said. “I will endeavour to promote innovation and inspiration at the heart of our strategy, but also to best bring added value to our clients.”

Tessa Raum, executive VP for human resources at Colt, said of Van Hille: “Her extensive experience and know-how as a manager will enable Colt to take a new step forward in France by strengthening our ability to best support our French customers while maximising the impact and emergence of new technologies. With it, we are ready to meet the business challenges of today and tomorrow.”
