Leonid Boguslavsky joins VEON board

RTP Global founder Leonid Boguslavsky, has been named as the newest member of VEON's board of directors following the departure of Mariano de Beer in late December.

Boguslavsky heads the early-stage venture capital firm RTP Global, which focuses on early stage tech investments. As a VC, Boguslavsky's business dealings have seen involved in Yandex, Ozon, Delivery Hero, RingCentral, EPAM and Datadog among many others.

Gennady Gazin, chairman of the VEON Board, said: "I would like to welcome Leonid to the Board of Directors. He brings an outstanding set of skills and experience, further positioning VEON in strengthening its digital proposition to empower customers."   

Prior to stepping to the world of venture capital, Boguslavsky was a managing partner for PwC Management Consulting Services and in the early 1990s, he built one of Russia's largest IT solutions integrators.

In addition to his board duties for VEON, Boguslavsky will remain as an independent director of the Sberbank PJSC Supervisory Board, the largest bank in Russia, Central and Eastern Europe.
