Real estate advisor CBRE has expanded its EMEA Data Centre Solutions team with four new hires.

Penny Madsen-Jones has joined the company’s team as research director from research and advisory firm, 451 Research.

She will lead CBRE’s analysis of data centre activity across EMEA, focusing on supply, demand and other market trends.

The company has also appointed Rob Cooper as Director of Advisory and Transactions, bringing data centre consultancy expertise from his most recent role as EMEA head of data centre advisory at CS Technology.

His appointment will enable CBRE to further broaden the team’s offering to clients and support them with their data centre strategies, according to the company.

Luke Pasterfield has been appointed to the occupier focused team in an advisory role as associate director and Katie Hoggarth joins from the industrial and logistics team at JLL as an associate director specialising in site transactions.

“As we move through the challenges presented by the pandemic, it is increasingly clear that activity in the data centre markets will only intensify as enterprise organisations evolve and adapt,” said Andrew Jay, EMEA head of data centre solutions at CBRE.

“These new hires will further strengthen our market-leading team, expanding and deepening the scope of services we offer our clients.”

At the beginning of September, CBRE announced the appointment of Kaela Fenn-Smith as head of UK advisory and transaction investor services and a member of its UK Executive Committee with effect from 1 November.

In September, the company also appointed John Atkins as head of advisory project management (PJM), EMEA, based in Frankfurt, who will be responsible for leading a team of more than 1,300 project management professionals, driving growth, and implementing the global project management strategy of delivering products and services to CBRE’s clients.
