ACL Mobile is now officially under new ownership following the completion of “part one” of Sinch AB’s acquisition.

The deal, announced in June,  marked the 12th acquisition from Sinch since its 2015 IPO and the fourth since Covid-19 lockdowns commenced, but it marked a first for the Swedish company in the Indian market.

The first stage of the acquisition itself encompassed “the majority of the outstanding shares in ACL Mobile and a call option to acquire the remaining shares after December 1, 2020,” Sinch said.

CEO Oscar Werner (pictured), commented: “I'm tremendously pleased that ACL is now a part of Sinch, which positions us for growth in one of the world's most dynamic growth markets.”

Sinch said it will leverage ACL’s direct connections to mobile operators in India, Malaysia and the UAE and offer “end-to-end connectivity, without unnecessary middlemen, to demanding global businesses around the world” and adding further reach to its global Tier 1 network.

Sanjay K Goyal, founder and CEO of ACL Mobile, added: “Together with Sinch we are scaling up to become one of the leading global players in our industry. I’m excited about this next chapter and the many new opportunities that we can pursue together,” said Sanjay K Goyal, founder and CEO of ACL Mobile.”
