Leaseweb Global has promoted Marilou van Doorn to the position of chief operating officer (COO), as the company renewed its focus to drive operations across the product portfolio, with emphasis on its hybrid cloud offering.

This means the organisation is perfectly positioned to provide customers with the right combination of hosting solutions and network capacity to be successful. The wide variety of offerings has also been ideal for organisations looking to develop their IT environment during recent challenging circumstances, and I am confident that Leaseweb will continue to expertly support customers throughout these highly unusual times and beyond,” she added,

Van Doorn’s previous experience has seen her take management roles at several global technology companies, including Wakoopa and Backbase. Further, with a focus on bridging the gap between business and IT, she is credited with understanding the “requirements to build a solid operational foundation to safeguard the success of a company”.

CEO Con Zwinkels, said: “I am delighted to welcome Marilou into her next position with Leaseweb.

“She has been an extremely valuable asset to the company over the past year, successfully streamlining the cross-departmental processes, increasing the operational quality and efficiency, and working towards a data-driven operation.
