Telia Customer Service LT, AB forms Telia Lietuva, AB
Telia Customer Service LT, AB has been merged into Telia Lietuva, AB following a registration with the Register of Legal Persons of the Republic of Lithuania.
As a result, Telia Customer Service LT, AB, a subsidiary of Telia Lietuva, AB, has terminated its activities as legal entity, and its activities are carried on by Telia Lietuva, AB. Telia Lietuva will take over all assets, rights and obligations of Telia Customer Service LT.
To streamline Telia Lietuva Group structure, in April 2019 shareholders of Telia Lietuva and Telia Customer Service LT had approved the preparation of reorganisation terms, under which Telia Customer Service LT would be merged into Telia Lietuva.
Viasat launches real-time earth ground station in Australia
Global satellite company Viasat has launched its real-time earth (RTE) facility in Alice Springs, Australia.
Viasat partned with the Centre for Appropriate Technology (CfAT), an Aboriginal not-for-profit science and technology company based in Alice Springs, which built and owns the new facility through its wholly owned commercial subsidiary CfAT Satellite Enterprises Pty Ltd.
As well as Indigenous Business Australia (IBA), an Australian Commonwealth commercially focused government authority, which helped finance the project and provides related commercial advice and support.
Viasat's RTE network provides Ground-Station-as-a-Service (GSaaS) to the earth observation and remote sensing community delivering affordability and reduced latency through automation and geographic diversity on a pay-per-use basis.
Viasat's RTE service will be able to support next-gen and legacy low earth orbit satellites using the S-, X-, and Ka-bands, which will enable operators to meet today's and tomorrow's data requirements.
Three UK choses Amdocs to support its enterprise business
Amdocs will partner with Three as its systems integrator (SI), in a multi-year managed services deal, to build an omni channel digital business system to grow its B2B services in the UK.

ERAMET selects SONEMA’s managed SD-WAN for VSAT network
Global mining and metallurgy provider Eramet, has chosen Sonema to deploy their VSAT network in Africa as well as its managed SD-WAN solution.
Eramet chose Sonema to deploy a VSAT network between France and Gabon in order to meet the demands for improved performance of their business applications, Internet access and video conferencing platform.
The link connects Eramet’s manganese mine in Moanda and the port of Owendo in Gabon with their datacentre which is located in Paris.
Additionally, Sonema has deployed an SD-WAN solution to optimise these connections, which enables the dynamic management of hybrid networks plus an improved application performance via the orchestration of WAN optimisation and routing rules.
As part of the project and in order to best addresses Eramet’s specific requirements, Sonema has chosen to use a solution from Silver Peak.
Zayo expands wavelength networks between strategic markets
Zayo Group Holdings has launched four new long-haul optical wavelength routes in the US.
The new routes will deliver multiple terabits of capacity for customers in diverse sectors.
Due for completion this year, all four routes are based on strong demand from Zayo’s customers, who continue to look for physical and vendor diversity as well as new, lower latency pathways.
“These strategic routes will provide dedicated, high-capacity connectivity to meet the bandwidth needs of customers in commercial, financial and tech sectors,” said Annette Murphy, executive vice president of Lit Solutions.
“Our owned infrastructure and range of flexible solutions position Zayo to be the provider of choice for wavelengths.”
The new routes include:
Miami to New Orleans, which features a high-capacity DWDM network, an architecture used to increase bandwidth.
Dallas to Atlanta to Washington DC and Ashburn, Virginia, which features a new C+L Band Flex Grid DWDM network.
Chicago to Toronto, which will create a route from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange to the Toronto Stock Exchange and features a high-capacity Flex Grid DWDM network.
Seattle to the Bay Area, which features a C+L Band Flex Grid DWDM network.
