At the Huawei Global Analyst Summit (HAS) 2020, Huawei released new members to the OceanStor Storage Series family.

OceanStor Dorado Series with Innovative FlashLink 2.0 Raises the Bar for Performance

Huawei OceanStor Dorado Series now unveils FlashLink 2.0 technology, including E2E enhanced NVMe Over Fabric (NoF) and intelligent disk-controller collaboration. This development is the latest milestone following joint innovations in architecture, protocols, and algorithms based on the previous FlashLink and SmartMatrix technologies. FlashLink 2.0 supercharges storage systems to deliver an industry-leading 20 million IOPS and 0.1 ms latency, reshaping the storage industry with premium performance. What's more, service efficiency sees multi-fold increase in scenarios, such as large-scale 5G billing of carriers and ultra-high concurrency of online transactions.

Huawei OceanStor Pacific Series storage adopts the butterfly-wing design and VC phase-change heat dissipation, helping effectively address mass storage issues in the terms of center of gravity and heat dissipation. It achieves 30% resource utilization improvements and up to 62.5% footprint reduction in equipment rooms with the intelligent EC algorithm, vNode hardware architecture, multi-protocol interworking (block, file, object, and HDFS), and decoupled storage-compute solution, yielding optimal costs for mass data storage and processing.
