Colt names new CEO as Carl Grivner announces departure

Colt has announced the promotion of CCO Keri Gilder to the role of CEO, following the news that Carl Grivner is to step down.

Appointed this month, Gilder previously headed global teams across sales, presales and marketing, as well as working closely with the wider organisation to ensure Colt delivered for its customers.

In the new role she will be responsible for executing Colt’s strategy which the company said centred around “transforming the way the world works through the power of connectivity”.

Gilder joined Colt from Ciena Communications in 2018, where she held several senior sales leadership roles in the business including VP and general manager – EMEA, as well as being responsible for SubSea global business development. She also held multiples roles at Lucent Technologies, and has worked for Hughes Aircraft as a network engineer.

A statement on Colt’s website read: “Keri is passionate about promoting Inclusion and Diversity, also leading Colt’s Diversity Council, to ensure Colt is a business where everyone feels they can bring their true selves to work. Keri brings this passion to the wider industry, also supporting external mentoring and coaching initiatives.”

Gilder has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Management Information Systems (MIS) from New Mexico State University. She lives in London with her husband and two children and is based at Colt’s head office in London.

 Grivner is reported to be staying with Colt until the end of June 2020.
