Infovista has confirmed the appointment of Ronald Rubens – Avaya’s former Europe region head – to oversee the Global Enterprise business unit, responsible for its SD-WAN market segment and the Ipanema product lines.

As executive vice-president of global enterprise and a member of the executive leadership team, Rubens will build on recent developments related to Infovista’s Ipanema SD-WAN solution, which has now been deployed to more than 100,000 sites globally.

Ipanema offers new features enabling the rapid and transparent deployment of cloud-managed Hybrid WANs for enterprises, together with zero-touch provisioning and advanced reporting capabilities.

“I see a significant opportunity within the application-centric SD-WAN space with customers who need to guarantee QoE for important and critical applications,” said Rubens.

“My philosophy is to stay close to our customers and channel partners, understanding their challenges, and deliver a solution that meets their needs at the pace their business requires. Infovista has made significant investments in hybrid WAN and quality of experience technology to offer an SD-WAN product that exceeds these capabilities. I am excited to join the organisation and lead our enterprise team to grow the business across our target industries and regions.”

Jose Duarte, CEO for Infovista, added: “I am very proud to have such a strong leader joining us following the significant momentum and customer interest we see in the investments we continue making in our SD-WAN business.”

“Ronald will lead our Global Enterprise business and expand on the market-leading position we have established in Europe for Ipanema SD-WAN. Ronald’s customer-centric approach to the enterprise market is more relevant than ever with today’s changing business environment that demands new, application aware, cloud-delivered solutions to ensure employee productivity and business continuity,” Duarte continued.

Prior to Avaya, Rubens held leadership roles at NEC, Fuze, and Unify for networking and unified communications solutions and drove cloud deployment models for various companies.
