Etisalat has launched a new cloud-based business unified communication and collaboration service for small and medium businesses and enterprises in the UAE.

Partnering with Ribbon Communications, Etisalat will provide its customers with a secure, scalable and cloud-native business communication and collaboration solution. CloudTalk is delivered over a carrier-grade cloud private branch exchange (PBX) replacing legacy networks.

As a result, the transformation is quick, and performance is optimal with minimal time required for deployment. In addition, the pay-as-you-grow model gives customers the ability to work in multi-channel communication environments, reducing the amount of upfront investments and enabling customers to focus on productivity rather than infrastructure.

“We are delighted to launch CloudTalk along with our partner Ribbon Communications,” said Salvador Anglada (pictured), group chief business officer of Etisalat. “The agile, secure, and cloud-based solution will be beneficial for businesses looking to simplify their complex communication infrastructure. The launch of this unique platform enables Etisalat to be a single provider for cloud telephony, offering comprehensive tools at a viable price. We at Etisalat are committed to delivering innovative technology blended with superior service levels that help businesses embark on their digital journey.”

Other benefits of the CloudTalk service include the ease of switching between various devices in real-time from any location as well as features such as instant messaging, video conferencing, screen sharing and mobile app that aid in improved user experience.

“Our cloud-native solutions help enable the intelligent and secure real-time communications solutions today’s businesses are embracing,” added Patrick Joggerst, chief marketing officer and executive vice president of business development at Ribbon Communications. “We are proud to support this ambitious new undertaking as Etisalat continues to showcase its leadership position in digital transformation.”

In September of 2019, Etisalat partnered with Nokia to achieve a world first with the completion of a single-carrier terabit-per-second (Tbps) field trial.
