Colt Technology Services has appointed Suchitra Rajendra as country head in India as well as vice president of HR for Colt India.

In her new role, Rajendra will work with Colt India’s senior management team to ensure that it aligns with the company’s global strategy. In addition, she will join Colt’s COO’s central leadership team where she will be responsible for leading the operations and HR teams in India.

Reporting to Melanie Halsey, EVP of human resources, Rajendra will oversee Colt India’s operations as the country head, working closely with the COO division to execute its wider strategy across the business.

“Colt India has thrived to become our largest country operation, so it is critical that we have a seasoned leader overseeing the region from both an HR and a business perspective,” said Halsey. “We are thrilled to have Suchitra join Colt. She is passionate about partnering across the organisation to develop and execute strategic plans that maximise business growth, all the while fostering an engaging culture to retain and grow talented people locally.”

Prior to joining Colt, Rajendra served as chief human resources officer at PepsiCo for the India region. In her role, she was responsible for setting the regional talent strategy that contributed to the growth of the business. Before that, Rajendra held several senior positions in telecoms and consulting across India and Australia. In addition, Rajendra is a recognised speaker across multiple forums, representative for industry bodies, an independent board member in media organisations and has been recognised by several industry awards.

“Colt is focused on both maintaining and growing its operations in India, and I am excited to be involved in this next phase for the business locally,” added Rajendra. “In getting to know Colt, I have been inspired by its strong people agenda, and I can’t wait to empower employees in India to contribute towards the overall vision of Colt globally.”
