Optical networking company Infinera has appointed Nancy Erba to be its new CFO from 26 August.

Erba (pictured) has already joined the company, as senior vice president, strategic finance, and will take over from current CFO Brad Feller, who will remain until the end of September to assist with the transition.

CEO Tom Fallon said: “Nancy is a seasoned finance executive with a proven track record of managing financial strategy and operations in high-growth and billion-dollar scale public companies.”

Erba was CFO at Immersion Corporation, a developer of haptic technology, for two and a half years until March 2019. Before that she spent 15 years at Seagate, rising to be VP of finance for corporate financial planning and analysis.

Fallon added: “As we strengthen our financial operations and continue to execute our long-term strategy to drive profitable and sustainable growth, Nancy will be a key asset to our leadership team. It is a pleasure to welcome her to Infinera.”

Erba said that Infinera “is in an ideal position to capitalize on the next wave of market opportunities driven by growing end-user demand for network capacity and service agility”.
