Crosslake Fibre expands leadership team with two new appointments
Crosslake Fibre has announced the appointment of Joseph Ciavarella as chief financial officer and Jeff Edward as vice president of operations.
"We are extremely pleased to have Joe and Jeff join the management team,” said Mike Cunningham, CEO of Crosslake Fibre. “These seasoned executives add significant telecommunications, finance and operational expertise that will help forward our mission to deliver a world-class experience to our customers and create value for our stakeholders. Each brings unique experience to our team as they are both well respected in the industry. We look forward to their contributions going forward."
In his new role, Ciavarella will be responsible for all financial, tax and regulatory reporting at Crosslake Fibre. He will also be responsible for investor relations, FP&A and M&A activity. Conversely, Edward will now oversee all areas of operations at Crosslake Fibre including network monitoring and maintenance, construction, planning, customer care and technical support.
Ciavarella is considered a seasoned veteran in the telecoms industry and has held senior positions with a number of major operators. Most recently he was served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of AboveNet, Inc, and was heavily involved in the sale of the company to Zayo Group LLP for $2.2 Billion in July 2012.
"It is a pleasure to join the Crosslake Fibre team,” said Ciavarella. “What they have delivered to date and their plans for future growth were compelling reasons to become part of the company."
Edward enters the role with over 25 years of experience in managing operations in the wireline, wireless and data centre industries. He has held senior positions at Cogeco Data Services (Cogeco Peer1), TeraGo Networks, American Express, Group Telecom, Telesystem International Wireless and most recently at Pathway Communications.
“I am excited to join Crosslake Fibre at a critical stage in it's evolution and I look forward to be a driving force in delivering a world-class operational platform,” added Edward.
