In his new role, Ortega will lead the Americas division, including enterprise, channel, carrier and government clients.
Along with Ortega’s appointment, the company also confirmed the promotion of Jesper Aagaard to the expanded role of division president of Europe including the UK. Together all division heads lead all primary client experience functions including sales, quoting, ordering, service delivery and overall client account management to drive revenue growth for the company.

Ortega enters the role with extensive experience in delivering revenue growth. Prior to his appointment at GTT, he served as CEO of Towerstream. Before that he also held senior executive roles at Colt Technology Services, Cogent and XO Communications, he started his career at MCI.
In August 2018, Aagaard was named as the Europe division president. At the time his responsibilities were for all GTT clients in continental Europe. He joined the company since its acquisition of Interroute, where he served as managing director of the company in the Nordics and the Netherlands.
Martin Ford will continue to lead the UK region, reporting to Mr. Aagaard. Jeff Beer will continue to lead the Carrier business in the Americas, reporting to Mr. Ortega.
